Was BJP behind the politics of LJP in Bihar?

Bihar elections are first major assembly elections after the eruption of coronavirus in India. Since 2019 general elections, BJP had lost every state where ever the elections were conducted.

Not only people in Bihar, entire nation are eagerly waiting to see Bihar verdict, some of the decisions of Modi in controlling the pandemic virus becomes controversial In India. Allowing migrant workers amid of lockdown, taking fares from the labor in trains and on hiding the information between Indo-China standoff are causes angry among the people. Bihar people are major share among the migrant workers. It’s very tough and critical time for BJP.

But alliance among NDA partners is not going smoothly. Lok Janasakti Party (LJP) giving troubles to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during the seat sharing among the alliance partners. Chirag Paswan targets Nitish Kumar and have soft corner towards BJP. Paswan said LJP will continue friendship with BJP. JD (U) and BJP have decided to contest in equal number of assembly segments in Bihar. This forced LJP to go alone in Bihar elections, plans to field candidates against JD (U). Earlier, Paswan demands more seats during the discussion and JD (U) not taken LJP seriously.

This is seen as an embarrassing development for the JDU. However, there are doubts that the BJP may be behind Chirag Paswan's decision. Paswan too much aggressiveness in Bihar politics raised many questions. In 2015 Bihar general elections, LJP was contest in 42 seats and won just 2 assembly segments. After taking the charge from his father Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag wants to show his performance in Bihar elections. He wants to become Kingmaker in Bihar after the elections. On other side, stalemate over the distribution of seats between the RJD and the Congress in the Opposition Grand Alliance has also been resolved. RJD leader Tejaswiyadav agreed to give 70 seats to the Congress. However, RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav seems to have turned the corner Congress from jail in this regard.
