China is rubbing salt to injury

The "National Day Golden Week" begins in China from October 01^st to 07th. If Mid-Autumn Festival is near National Day, the Golden Week may be 8 days long. 

Rest of the China doesn’t know much about this ‘Golden Week’ till now. After the eruption of Wuhan virus, China is cornered from all sides in the world. In addition to that, China has border issues with neighbors. Amid of all odds, China kicks off ‘Golden Week’ celebrations. When entire world is crying because of coronavirus China is celebrating.

China marked 71^st National Day with a flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square. Hon Kong also held the ceremony on October 1^st. National Day is to start of the annual ‘golden week’ holiday. It is the first major holiday for China since coronavirus was brought under control in the country. Millions of tourists rushed on day one of Golden Week in China. It is obvious for China to hold the celebrations to boost the economy. Chinese travelers are expected to fan out across the country in droves, even as anxiety about the virus and the economy lingers. 550 domestic trips are expected over the next 8 days just to revive tourism sector.

When we see what is happening around the world is very sad and pathetic because of Wuhan virus. Brazil’s unemployment touched eight year low rate of 13.8%. Deaths in India may reach 1 lakh in coming days. Many European nations imposed lockdown because of fear of second wave of the pandemic. Hong Kong is protesting the China’s National Holiday. Police arrested 12 protesters in Hong Kong. Hong Kong people called China’s National Day as National Day of mourning. China’s celebrations seem to add insult to wounded body of the world. Celebrations in China are anxiety and fear to others. While China has not reported any locally transmitted symptomatic coronavirus cases since August 15, it still has a 75% limit on capacity for domestic tourist destinations. Will these celebrations create second wave of the virus in China?
