United Kingdom is still facing rampage of pandemic virus. Mortality rate is very much high compared other neighbors in EU. It crossed over 100K deaths due to coronavirus. This has given chance to UK to roll out vaccine campaign massively.
UK is the second nation in the world which gives highest number of people per 100 after Israel. Barring all odds, United Kingdom has allowed more vaccines for emergency use to their people. It gave approvals in quick for Pfizer, Astrazenca and Moderna for providing vaccination to the people.
A supermarket in the country has started offering Covid-19 vaccines for customers. ASDA, Britain’s first major retailer to co-ordinate with the National Health Service (NHS) to offer jabs. NHS England has chosen the chain to set up a vaccination centre from an in-store pharmacy in its Birmingham branch. It has been given the green light to administer the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. It is the first supermarket chain to have an in-store vaccination clinic against Covid-19. Vaccinations will be given by trained Asda pharmacy staff after the supermarket was selected by NHS England to open a groundbreaking in-store vaccination centre.
Asda is using the clothing department at Birmingham store to provide vaccine shots. Harbans Kaur is the first patient in line at the temporary vaccination centre. Asda starts offering vaccines with having 240 doses initially at the store. The chain supermarket gave its support for NHS on vaccination scheme. They will also change the part of the store in Watford to provide around 3.5K vaccines per week.
