Developing and under-developing nations are struggling on how to vaccinate to their people. But developed countries are imposing strict lockdown measures again after re-surging of number of positive pandemic cases.
Coranavirus rampage is still continued in United States whereas European cities re-impose restrictions to control the covid-19. Anti-lockdown protests blazed across the Europe in this week. Many countries in EU have imposed fresh restrictions for controlling the virus after New Year.
This forced people to rush towards streets against restrictions in Denmark, Spain and Netherlands. The Dutch nation began its first night time curfew on January 23rd which has not been imposed since Second World War. As per new restrictions, no one has allowed to leave the house between 9 pm to 4.30 am. 95 Euros of fine was imposed on the trespassers. This causes agitators set ablaze cars, threw fireworks and robbed stores. Dutch police used water cannons to disperse protesters in Amsterdam. Spain imposed new restrictions during January first week due to sudden increase of coronavirus cases.
Protesters raised slogans like “we want to breathe” against coronavirus restrictions. Denmark government has decided to extend lockdown till February 07th over the surge of cases related to new variant. Thousands of people gathered in Copenhagan shouting slogans “we have had enough”. The reasons we observe on their frustration are mainly that lockdown made severe impact of their livelihoods. Protesters are objecting the use of excessive forces during the lockdown. Britain is ahead of most countries in the vaccination race, but it is gambling that it can extend the interval between two doses, to stretch limited supplies. PM Boris Johnson hints that restrictions will continue till July’21.
