The doubts and suspicions have increased at China for the cause of Wuhan outbreak across the world. Nations were demand to probe on coronavirus pandemic during last World Health Organization (WHO) summit.
In particular, Australia moved the motion against China and demand the complete probe led by WHO. As usual, China got irritation on their demand and unwillingly agreed to co-operate with WHO officials during the enquiry. WHO team due to investigate the origins of Covid-19 in the city of Wuhan has been denied entry to China.
Last month it was announced that the investigation would begin in January 2021.Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization has accused Chinese authorities of delaying a planned visit by a team of experts to the country. He said that he is very disappointed with China’s delaying tactics. Two scientists of Wuhan team have denied the permission to enter into China. He also clarified that the team did not intend to probe claims that the virus originated from Wuhan lab. Chinese officials’ claims that new surge of coronavirus cases in the country is one of the reasons for not getting approvals to WHO. China is implementing partial lockdown in Beijing and Shijiazhuang where 50 new cases are reported.
There is suspicion even the data disclosed by Chinese authorities in last February. As per the US health authorities that number of cases in Wuhan may have 10 times higher than China’s disclosed numbers. Journalist Zhang Zhan was jailed for 4 years for reporting on conditions inside Wuhan outbreak. China is feared of all these facts will come out if WHO entered into probe in Wuhan. China has done its utmost to thwart investigations into the origins of the virus, which subsequently turned into the global pandemic that has killed 1.87 million people around the world. Although China first reported the virus to the WHO on December 31, 2019, the country has been accused of not acting fast and withholding information about the health emergency.
