India continues to set new records every day in the second wave and has no signs of slowdown of pandemic virus rampage. It seems the virus is not confined to India as coronavirus positive cases spread across South Asia.
As per the Red Cross report, infections are being increased in all Indian neighboring countries. Nepal is the worst affected nation and has seen a sharp spike in the number of cases in the past one month. There were 289 cases reported on April 07th and 8970 cases recorded on May 07th of this year.

Nepal Government has imposed lockdown again in many parts of the country
including Kathmandu till May 12th. Nepal is importing most of the
doses from India. Vaccination in the country is very slow when compared with
other nations. Nepal has managed to inoculate only 7 out of 100 people. Nepal
suspends international air travel after seeing sudden surge in cases. Like her
neighbor India, Nepal is also suffering from a deadly second wave of the
coronavirus. Nepal has appealed for international help as numbers of cases hit
record highs when the healthcare system collapsed.
What has happened in India has now spread to Nepal with devastating consequences. Almost 1 in 2 tests coming back positive for Covid-19 and a health system that just cannot cope with the numbers. Persons who died of pandemic virus in Nepal are being cremated out in the open. Nepal has run out of space for cremation. Nepal health ministry called the situation unmanageable. Experts in Nepal have believed India’s disastrous outbreak spilled across the Nepal border. Migrant workers who moved from India to Nepal have been considered as super spreaders.
