From “Not to Wear Mask” to “No Mask”

After the eruption of Wuhan virus in China, Milan in Italy was the worst affected city in the world during its first wave. Then it spread to the EU and the United States of America. When you see the numbers U.S. is the worst affected nation both in number of cases and casualties as well among the world. 

Adding to that, then President Donald Trump’s light attitude towards coronavirus pushed the U.S. into deep troubles. He openly rejected wearing a mask and forced others to follow. Now, the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention has announced that people who have completed two doses of the vaccine in the United States no longer need to wear face masks.

So, immunized people in America no longer need to wear masks outdoors. Around 60% of US adults have received at least one or more doses. Mask wearing becomes one of the political issues in 2020 US Presidential elections. He said cases were down in 49 out of 50 states in the country. Also, the death toll has dropped by 80 per cent compared to April last year. He also reminded us that the country's economy is recovering like never before in the last 40 years. With this, employment opportunities have also improved, he said.

Biden said it was great to have 25 million people vaccinated in just 114 days. Israel is the first nation that announced no need to wear masks after completing the vaccination in the country. The United Kingdom also made a similar achievement and declared that wearing masks are not mandatory. But in India the situation is different. Second wave of pandemic virus hits the nation severely. That forced the people to wear double masks to protect themselves from the virus.
