China was unable to digest anyone who interferes in internal matters. The communist nation wants to maintain secrecy on its internal affairs either in Galwan valley count or pandemic virus count. China didn’t allow visiting World Health Organization to probe on Wuhan virus with an appeal.
China forcefully agreed finally after all countries demand for investigation on Wuhan virus in WHO meeting last year. Even media in the nation has no free to report what happened within the country. British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) did at her best when lockdown takes place in Wuhan one year back. BBC programme became viral in Social Media how the lockdown impacts people in Wuhan.
Now, BBC World News has been stopped from broadcasting inside China. As per Chinese regulators, British channel was seriously violated BBC news guidelines. The reason for ban is that BBC report alleged torture and sexual violence against Uygurs Muslim community in Xinjiang province. BBC reported earlier this month that Uyghur women had been sexually abused in China’s re-education camps. Uyghur camp detainees allege systematic rape happened against them. The lengthy investigation based on witness testimonies reported claims of systematic rape, sexual abuse and torture of women detainees by police and guards in China's western region of Xinjiang.
It aired its report detailing harrowing accounts of torture and sexual violence against Uighur women in Chinese camps on February 3. China is accused of compelling Uighurs to parrot Communist propaganda and renounce Islam, forcibly sterilizing women and imposing a regime of forced labour. China had also threatened to retaliate after the UK revoked CGTN’s broadcast license. UK said that English news channel CGTN is controlled by Chinese Communist Party. UK has condemned the ban on BBC and said that it is nothing but curbing the freedom of press. Britain has also banned Chinese telecoms group Huawei from involvement in its 5G network after the United States raised spying fears. People in China can’t view the largely restricted English Channel and can view only in International hotels.
