Half-million deaths just in one country


United States of America has crossed half-million mark in casualties because of coronavirus. 20% of world corona deaths have occurred in United States. 13 months after first coronavirus case identified in the country, U.S. has reached a grim milestone in the pandemic. 

500K deaths due to coronavirus in America is the third highest death record after 1918’s Spanish Flu virus takes 675K lives and U.S. Civil war took 750K American lives. Biden administration said they have secured 600 million vaccine doses from Moderna and Pfizer to provide vaccination to people by the end of July.


Johnson & Johnson has requested FDA approval for one dose vaccine as well. Unlike European nations, United States made all preparations to provide two doses to the most of the U.S. population. President Joe Biden led mourning for over 5 lac deaths in America. Each of the 500 candles lit at the White House represents 1000 lives lost and flag on government buildings will be flown at half-mast for 5 days. It seems that U.K. variant causes more worrisome in U.S. than original strain. American daily The New York Times published 5, 00,000 dots in front page. Each dot represents one death of Covid-19 in United States.


The average number of daily new cases has fallen in the U.S. amid of vaccine roll-out. Joe Biden predicts that United States could see other one lack coronavirus deaths. American Medical experts said that normal life will return at the end of 2021. Dr. Anthony Fauci blamed Donald Trump actions for pandemic virus rampage in the country. He said political divisions have showed the U.S. fight against Covid-19. He said that political divisiveness over the use of masks contributed to the U.S. coronavirus death count.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy was elected first time to Assembly as TDP candidate from Allagadda in 1992 bye-election. Again he was elected as MLA from same constituency in 1994 as TDP candidate. In 1991, late NTR decided not to field TDP nominee opposite first Telugu Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.
