“Metro man” stopped at BJP station in Kerala

He is known to people of the India with his alias name than his original. 88 year old E. Sreedharan back into the news not because of new metro project but he is in news for political reasons. Sreedharan who is popularly known as Metro Man will go to join in BJP and ready to fight in upcoming Kerala general elections in Kerala. Sreedharan is credited with changing the public transport system for the people in India in different cities.

Sreedharan got success as Chairman of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in building 759 km Konkan Railways followed by introducing first metro project in Delhi. E. Sreedharan was also finished the draft for Hyderabad and Vizag metros when Chandrababu was Chief Minister. He also played key role in Lucknow and Kochi metro projects. He doesn’t cross the budget and didn’t exceed deadline of any project. The man behind the Indian metro is set to make political entry by join in BJP. He is likely to join the party during the Vijay Yatra ahead of assembly elections in Kerala in May’21.

BJP is seeing new and fresh face to counter Pinaray Vijayan in Kerala. He said that both UDF and LDF failed in giving development during their era and predicts that BJP will provide good governance in Kerala. BJP has just one MLA in Kerala Assembly and very hard to compete with LDF and UDF. BJP leaders feel that Sreedharan entry would give lot of change in middle-class voters. LDF leaders are strongly believed that there is huge anti-incumbency against BJP government compared to their own.
