Indian Air Force is all set to receive 83 more indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LAC) Tejas. It’s the biggest indigenous defence deal for ever which costs more than 47K crore. If this contract came to realty it will be boost to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and will generate more jobs. Expected 5K direct and 25K indirect jobs have generated across India. It will also give encouragement to small scale units in supplying components to HAL. HAL has two manufacturing facility units in Bengaluru for manufacturing aircrafts. HAL could produce only 8 aircrafts per year but after starting new manufacturing unit it will expect to double the production every year.
HAL is looking broader way to expand its products. HAL is planning to export Tejas to other nations. The organization is in talks with Malaysian Air Force, Sri Lankan Air Force and Egyptian Air Force. In addition to fighter program, HAL is also producing lead-in fighter trainer. Tejas is the smallest aircraft among other aircrafts produced in world and can easily maintain the aircraft. Fuel efficiency in Tejas is more when compared to other aircrafts. Everyone is pay attention how HAL is prepare to execute it’s commitment to Indian Air Force.
