Is Jayalalitha reason for Kamal Haasan entry into politics?

Tamil Nadu politics has mingled with cinema since many decades. We can’t see politics without cinema flavor. Tamil Superstar Kamal Haasan has contest from Coimbatore South assembly constituency to Tamil Nadu assembly. That made his first ever political innings started in the state. Everyone expects Superstar Rajini Kant entry into politics since 3 decades but none predicts Kamal’s entry into political field. Kamal has founded political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in February’18.

Kamal’s constituency selection was surprised many because everyone expects he contends from any of the 20 segments of Chennai metro region. But Kamal choose industrial town of Coimbatore. Another interesting reason for Coimbatore is BJP and Congress is contesting in Coimbatore not their alliances ADMK and DMK. As per initial observation, Kamal is going to win the election comfortably. Kamal has maintained good relations with both DMK and ADMK since many years. The reason for his political entry is Viswaroopam. Movie rights initially given to Jaya TV and later went to Vijay TV. This causes anger to AIADMK. Then AIADMK government just unleashed their lapdogs in the name of protesters to stall the release of the movie and Kamal was forced to publicly appreciate the efforts of the then chief minister who was behind the stalling of his movie.

Kamal said that it is a shame for the ruling government a when a citizen says that there is no justice here, regarding controversy around Vishwaroopam. Later, his tweet on mourning to Amma death becomes controversial and insensitive. "Deepest sympathies with those who are concerned." Though the tweet had no offensive statement about Jayalalithaa or the party it didn't even as much as mention Jayalalithaa's name Haasan's subdued message saw a huge uproar from Tamils. Political analysts feel that Kamal will split AIDMK vote share in this election. No one knows whether he enters into politics if Jaya lives but he decided to step into political arena after her death.
