Italy stopped AstraZeneca vaccine export to Australia

In many cases, wars are taking place on border disputes between the countries. Thanks to coronavirus. First time conflicts rose among the nations for vaccine. Italy stops AstraZeneca vaccine exports to Australia. European Union double standards were exposed. It tries to steal the vaccine from UK and now from Australia.

European Union vaccine policy severely failed. Every nation in EU desperately needs vaccines for vaccination to their people. Italy government blocks AstraZenca jabs bound for Australia. Italy action was supported by EU has barred the planned export of 250K doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Australia. One reason EU quoted for blocking is that Australia is considered not vulnerable because of a low number of coronavirus cases. Followed by shortage of vaccines both in Italy and the EU are another reason.

Prominent pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and AstraZeneca have failed to deliver earlier promised doses. Australia made an appeal to Italy and EU after blocking shipment of vaccines. It is understood the doses will now be redistributed within among the EU nations, where about 8% of the population has been vaccinated, compared with more than 30% in the UK. EU leaders demand AstraZeneca should increase production of doses more including sending doses making in UK but the company refused to accept their demand. EU wants to complete 70% of adults in Europe with first shot by the end of this summer.
