Every country wants to develop on its own and protect it’s self from enemies. But North Korea’s approach is different to others. North Korea is showing interest more on developing nuclear missiles and least bothered on development of the country.
Though United Nations issued sanctions, North Korea hadn’t move away from its approach. North Korea launched two ballistic missiles into the sea near Japan, Japan’s prime minister said, fuelling tensions ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. It put pressure on new President Joe Biden and his administration.
North Korea has launched several missiles in Pyongyang’s first challenge to the Biden. The exercise comes just days after US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin met South Korean Prime Minister. US officials have downplayed North Korean military exercise is regular military testing and this will not hamper Washington’s efforts to denuclearization with North Korea. Pyongyang tests are provoking both Washington and Seoul. But Pyongyang timing raised many questions. Both US and South Korea forces did joint exercises in second week of March. This forced Pyongyang issued first warning to Washington and Seoul.
President Joe’s administration hopes to reignite negotiations with Kim Jong-un regime on its nuclear arsenal. Analysts worry that Pyongyang is taking proactive actions to undermine cooperation among Japan, South Korea and United States. North Korea's ballistic missiles are banned under United Nations Security Council Resolutions, and if the launch is confirmed it would represent a new challenge to Biden's efforts to engage with Pyongyang, which have so far been rebuffed. The nuclear-armed North has a long history of using weapons tests to ramp up tensions, in a carefully calibrated process to try to forward its objectives.
