Two major things were happened last week that directly made impact to US President Joe Biden. North Korea warning to US new administration and Russian President Vladimir Putin challenging to Biden were made worldwide attention.
Joe Biden election campaign was linked to North Korea and Russia’s reactions against US. Biden called North Korean President Kim as ‘thug’ and vowed to stop North Korean nuclear missile programme. Biden calls Putin as “killer” for later involvement in US Presidential elections.
North Korean leader Kim’s sister Kim Yo-jong issued warning statement on US joint military exercises with South Korea. She criticized that joint drills are for invasion of North Korea. Both US and South Korea began these exercises during first week of March near North Korean border. Her statement rushed US senior officials to Seoul for meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. US and North Korea remain at loggerheads over Pyongyang nuclear programme. Former President Trump tried to give up North Korea’s nuclear programme but failed to do so.
Biden said Putin "will pay a price" for his efforts to undermine the 2020 US election and he also called that Putin as “killer”. Kremlin responded Biden’s killer comments and described the relations between two nations as “very bad”. As per the US intelligence report Russian government meddled in the election by launching campaign to denigrate Joe Biden. Russian President Putin condemns the allegations and challenge Biden for open discussion. Biden administration is likely to slap fresh sanctions on Russia over its attempt to influence the election.
