There is a famous quote by Thomas Jefferson “When Tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty” which resembles to current situation in Myanmar. This is the second article on how people fought against military junta in the country.
Myanmar people never resist like what they are doing now against Military governance. Military forces in Myanmar opened fire and made mass arrests Sunday as they sought to break up protests against the military's seizure of power, and a U.N. human rights official said it had “credible information” that at least 18 people were killed and 30 were wounded.
The nation has seen its deadliest day of anti-coup protests yet. Military and Police fired many rounds and used tear gas on crowds during the Sunday agitation. Protests spread at least three cities in Myanmar and deaths were reported in Yangon, Dawei and Mandalay. It’s interesting that youth come on to roads to participate in the agitation by intimating to their parents in Myanmar. United Nations Human Rights official said minimum 1000 people have detained.
Journalists, Politicians, teachers,
health workers and students were among the detained. Myanmar has been boiling
with protests and agitations after military seized the power on February 01st. People are fighting against military for the
detention of their leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Confirming the deaths of protesters
has been difficult amid the chaos and general lack of news from official
sources, especially in areas outside Yangon, Mandalay and the capital of
Naypyitaw. The Feb. 1 coup reversed years of slow progress toward democracy
after five decades of military rule.
