Kamala Devi Harris has announced as Vice President Nominee by Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden. Joe’s choice has surprised many around the world and also to Donald Trump’s camp. 

Kamala Harris is US prosecutor and serving as California Senator since 2017. She is the first Asian American and first Black woman in American history on a major ticket. Harris was contender for Democratic Presidential candidate along with Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

Harris confrontation with Joe Biden on providing school busing during last round of Democratic Presidential debate was created sensation in US media. Later, she withdrawn from the race and extended her support to Joe Biden. How he selected Harris for VP? What made Joe to pick Harris for VP? There are many reasons for Joe’s selection of Harris like ongoing protests against racism, knowing her capacity in fund raising for the election campaign, acknowledging her experience as public servant and seeing her knowledge in all matters. Reportedly, former President Barak Obama also recommended her name. Apart from all the above, some section of people are busy in trolling her ancestral background in social media. Harris father belongs to Jamaica where as her mother is from India (Chennai). She revealed once in video that she resided in Chennai Besant Nagar. The video went viral and people made jokes on Besant Nagar.
