Why Lionel Messi decided to leave Barcelona?


No surprise when Football Players moved from one club to another. Franchise football clubs took the players based on their performance. 

Then why there is lot of buzz when Messi wants to leave Barcelona in world media. Lionel Messi is being played to Barcelona since his age was 13. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL since 2008. Sure! It is news when he moved from CSK to RCB or MI in India. Lionel Messi decision is matter for all sport lovers in world and in media as well. After playing 2 decades for one club what forced Messi to leave Barcelona.


Messi was born in central Argentina and relocated to Spain to join in Barcelona. Messi is being played for Argentina National team as well. He is most popular player from Argentina after Mardona in 90’s. During his career with Barcelona Messi has won six Ballon d’Or awards. It helped to club winning of 10 Spanish Title leagues and 4 Champion leagues. Two days back he informed to Directors of Barcelona that he wants to leave the club after 20 years. Barcelona’s humiliating defeat to Bayern Munich with 8-2 caused the reason for rift between Messi and Club Management. No doubt! Both Lionel Messi and Barcelona Club popularity grow simultaneously since 20 years.



With his decision, Lionel Messi’s journey with Barcelona would come to an end. He wants to use clause of his contract with Barcelona which allows him to immediately leave for free. But the club said deadline of the clause expired in June. As per Barcelona club that Spanish football season would normally end in May every year. Season was pushed back because of the pandemic virus. Messi’s contract includes a US $826 million buyout clause. When his future is uncertain, fans from Messi home town Rosario in Argentina are excited about the news. Reportedly, Messi would likely to play for Manchester City.
