China ‘U-Turn’ on diplomatic promise made to India

Chinese official spokesperson Lijian Zhao assured that China supports to Indian people in fighting with Covid-19. He said that China is willing to support for Indian’s needs and are keeping in touch with the country. 

Mr. Zhao assured that Indian people will defeat pandemic virus very soon. He made this statement on April 24th and his statement is gave relief from border tensions between two nations. China took the decision against to the official spokesperson after two days. China's Sichuan Airlines has suspended all cargo flights to India for 15 days.

 

China’s decision is severe setback to India’s efforts in fighting with pandemic virus in second wave. The suspension of airlines is likely to disrupt the procurement of critical oxygen concentrators and other essential medical supplies from China. Import ban likely to impact raw materials, APIs, Covid material such as Pulse oximeter, o2 concentrators, thermometer, IT & telecom gears. China’s "U-Turn" after suspending cargo flights to India which disrupted procurement of much-needed oxygen concentrators said it is discussing a new plan to resume cargo services to India.

 

The direct cargo service made the supplies move faster between two nations. Sichuan Airlines has also said that the decision was taken to reduce the number of imported covid-19 cases. Assuming the huge demand from India, Chinese manufacturers raise the prices of medical equipment. Indian traders have also complained of Chinese manufacturers jacking up prices by 35 to 40%. After the cancellation move, India is now looking towards Singapore and other nations. India is desperately need oxygen concentrators for saving the lives of many patients.
