Second wave made India as “Untouchable” to others

Everyday a new record of the number of positive cases is being created in India. On an average 3 lakh cases are recorded daily since four days in India. Second wave of coronavirus severely hit the second largest populated nation in the world.

With a huge surge in Covid-19 cases, many countries imposed travel bans on arrivals from India. New Zealand is the first nation which imposed a ban on any travel from India after it detected 23 Covid-19 cases among passengers arriving from outside earlier this month.

Around 30 nations across the world included India in the red list including neighbors Pakistan and Bangladesh. Other nations refuse to allow Indians into their countries because of the huge spike in corona cases in India. The UK is allowed people from India unless they have British citizenship. Red list will change only when the situation gets better in India. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also cancelled his planned visits twice to India due to surge in cases in India.

The US, Australia, Hong Kong, the UK, Pakistan and New Zealand have already released fresh travel advisories for their citizens, asking them to avoid travelling to/from India. Canada and UAE are also imposing restrictions on passengers from India. It is understandable and no surprise in their actions against India. But the fugitive who fled from India also imposed a ban on Indian travellers into their created island. Self-styled godman Nithyananda announced that devotees from India would not be allowed to enter his island “Kailasa”.
