Man sues for stolen Bitcoins

It’s very interesting. When Bitcoin was initiated in 2009 there was no value but it is considered as one of the valuable assets. Global acceptance has increased for bitcoin on each passing day. Governments and Regulatory authorities have allowed the popular digital currency for their payments.

El Salvador will become the first country to adopt bitcoin as a national currency. The Central American nation has planned to construct 200 ATMs for bitcoin customers. From September 07th onwards, El Salvador has two official currencies, U.S. dollars or Bitcoins. Cuba officially recognizes and authorizes payments in bitcoins in the country.

United Wholesale Mortgage, the second largest U.S. mortgage lender, is accepting bitcoin payments. Many multinational companies give the option of payment of salary information of Bitcoin to the employees. After seeing the drastic change in digital currencies in the world, the monetary value of Bitcoin has increased. What bitcoin in 2009 is different from what bitcoin in 2021. Volatility in price is continuing in the crypto market. Bitcoin crossed $60K in April this year and came down later. Andrew Schober, from Colorado who was robbed of 16.4 bitcoins in 2018 when it was worth up to $220,000 has now sued the alleged UK-based thieves as well as their parents.

The said robbery happened in January 2018. As per the current value $47K per bitcoin for 16.4 bitcoins is almost $775,000. Earlier, also the similar crime happened in August this year which was considered as one of the largest cryptocurrencies heists ever. Hackers have stolen some $600m digital tokens such as Ether by exploiting Poly Network blockchain. Hours after the hack, the attacker started returning the funds - first in small amounts and then in millions. In March 2020, Bengaluru police arrested a woman who allegedly stole 64 bitcoins, worth Rs 3.66 crore, by accessing the hardware wallet of a cryptocurrency exchange firm where she had worked. These things will happen in future also unless the crypto traders have gained enough knowledge on how crypto trading occurs and how blockchain of respective digital currency works.
