He brought gold in an unknown game in Olympics for India

India is known for winning medals in Hockey in every Olympics till 1980 Moscow Olympics. Afterwards, Karanam Malleswari (Weightlifting), Leader Pace (Lawn Tennis), Abhinav Bindra (Shooting), Mary Kom (Boxing) and PV Sindhu (Badminton) excelled in individual sport events in different Olympics. But Indians can’t be seen in the Athletic category.

Javelin Throw and other track events are completely dominated by Jamaica, Canada and other European countries. Why is Neeraj Chopra's name is echoing in the country? Neeraj Chopra presents India with a javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics just as India's dominance is coming to an end. At the same time, he received a rare record. He made his name in the record books as the first athlete to win gold in independent India.

In fact many are unaware that Neeraj Chopra, a young athlete representing India in Javelin throws at the Olympics. When Neeraj Chopra won the men's Javelin Throw in group A and qualified for the final, his name suddenly came to light. Hopes were high for him as he topped the first round of the finals today. He proved his capacity in successive rounds and finally won and thrilled the hearts of millions. In fact when the Indian team went to the Tokyo Olympics no one had big expectations. On the one hand the corona demon was frightening, on the other hand the postponement of the Olympics left no one largely interested.

Unexpectedly some of the other players squatted at the end despite rushing at once with fantastic performances. However, it was a miracle that the Olympic Games would end on another day. Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal for the country in the javelin throw that no one expected and admired, turned the whole country on its head at once. Apart from awarding gold, he went down in history as the first athlete to win gold in independent India. Neeraj Chopra, who had no hope of finishing the country ahead of the Olympics as the medal hopefuls rolled ahead of the Olympics, finally finished well for India. There were 6 medals that India won in the London Olympics in 2012 which was the highest in total. India surpasses the number in 2020 Tokyo with 7 medals.
