Cricketer Rashid Khan has appealed to world leaders for help as the Taliban step up offensive and gain control over large parts of Afghanistan. When the Taliban gained control one city after another, Rashid Khan asked help from world leaders and urged them not to leave people into chaos. He requests that they stop killing of Children and other people. Rashid Khan is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL, Adelaide Strikers in BBL and Pakistan Super League (PSL).

His statement is reflecting the majority opinion of the people. It shows his love and affection towards his country. Everyone had sympathy towards Afghanistan but helplessly. Even many people in the country are not convinced with Taliban governance. Women would fear their rights under Taliban ruling in the coming days. Kandahar Central Jail has hundreds of Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan. The Taliban, who have been circling the prison for years demanding their release, stormed the jail and the prisoners inside were released.
Afghanistan is gradually falling back into the hands of the Taliban as US and NATO forces withdraw completely by the end of this month. Already 65 per cent of the territory has been taken over by them. Military forces surrender to the Taliban. Following a series of military defeats, Army Chief General Wali Ahmadzai was removed and replaced by General Hibatullah Alizai. The Taliban are expected to encircle the capital, Kabul, in a matter of days, according to US intelligence. There is huge pressure mounting on US President Joe Biden. Everyone wants not to withdraw the army from Afghanistan but he denied. He called on the Afghan people to join hands and fight for the motherland against the Taliban.
