All is not well for Taliban who plan to run the government. Most of the countries in the world are in same approach towards Taliban. In particular, U.S. and Western nations are in process of withdrawing financial aid to their implemented projects in Afghanistan.
France and Germany almost cut-off it’s relations with Taliban led Afghanistan. Biden administration has also frozen the assets of Afghanistan's central bank that are held in the US. World Bank and IMF halt aid to the country after Taliban takeover. Both the agencies to suspend payments to Afghanistan are the latest financial blow to the country's new government.
IMF felt that Afghanistan has no longer able to access the global lender’s resources. United Nations agencies have warned that Afghanistan would face severe food crisis by September’21. World Health Organization (WHO) said the closure of commercial flights in Afghanistan airports has caused to stop supply key deliveries. The World Food Programme (WFP) is supplying basic food supplies to Afghanistan in four different routes like Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan on humanitarian grounds. These routes will likely to close in every winter season. It should be appreciated WHO on continuance of WFP for the people to overcome the Taliban challenges.
Even before the Taliban takeover, Afghanistan was in great humanitarian need following the second drought in three years. Around 500 tons of medical supplies including surgical equipment have stopped at Kabul airport. The United States of America said any assets that Afghanistan's central bank has in the US would not be made available to the Taliban. The bank has reserves of $9 billion held in U.S. The World Bank has halted financial aid to the existing projects in Afghanistan and cited the concerns on Taliban governance. Amid of all these odds, it is very difficult for Taliban to back the financial activity to normal. Taliban wants educated people into their first government but many of them left the nation due to fear of Taliban governance.
