The severity of the flooding was captured by quite a few movies shared on Chinese language social media, which confirmed folks and automobiles swept away in surging torrents. China has revised the number of deaths from the deadly floods in the province. Initially, officials declared 189 deaths but their new figure jumps to 302 because of floods. An outbreak of coronavirus has compounded the challenges dealing with Zhengzhou as the town struggles to get well from the devastating floods.
