People are getting allergic reactions after the use of Pfizer vaccine. Medical experts in UK confirmed the allergy to the people who vaccinated Pfizer vaccine. The similar reports are confirmed in United States after the use of Moderna vaccine.
Boston Doctor reports that Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh, a geriatric oncologist at Boston Medical Center who has a severe shellfish allergy and had an appointment to get the Moderna shot in the afternoon. He said in an interview that he experienced a severe reaction feeling dizzy with his heart racing.
Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh is the first person in world to report allergic reaction to Modern’s vaccine. Immediately, he used EpiPen that he had kept with him just in case he suffered a side effect. EpiPen is the brand name of an auto-injectable device that delivers the drug epinephrine. It is a life-saving medication used when someone is experiencing a severe allergic reaction. The EpiPen is so expensive that even the US government feels overcharged. Moderna said that the company could not make open comment on an individual case.
Moderna vaccine was rolled out in United States of America on December 21st. Allergic reactions have been reported by those who have been given Pfizer vaccine. Medical authorities are inspecting on six cases involving people who suffered anaphylaxis after receiving the Pfizer vaccine in U.S. Anaphylaxis can impair breathing and cause drops in blood pressure which can also be life threating to the patient. Few volunteers who took Pfizer vaccine had reportedly developed by Bell’s palsy. It is a condition that causes to temporary weakness or paralysis of the facial muscles. Medical experts have suggested that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines might not apt for the people who have already history of anaphylaxis.
