World is ready to distribute covid-19 vaccine


Vaccines of different pharma companies for pandemic virus are set to complete their final trials. Some companies are applying to other countries for supplying the vaccine. Italy, the most affected nation in Europe is preparing to distribute the vaccine. 

The Italian government has appointed a task force to plan how and where the first doses will be delivered when international regulators approve a successful vaccine. Pfizer, BioNTech apply for EU’s conditional approval of COVID-19 vaccine. Moderna has joined Pfizer in filing for an emergency use authorization from the FDA for its coronavirus vaccine.


Logistics companies are in preparation to help distribute pandemic vaccines around the world. Pfizer and Moderna have vaccines shown to be over 90% effective against the disease. Both these companies have applied for approvals to distribute their vaccines in Europe and United States. Alex Azar, US health Secretary of Health and Human Resources expects both these vaccines would hit the markets before X-mas. Amsterdam's Schiphol airport gears up for chilled COVID-19 vaccine cargos and to become vaccine distribution hub. Air France-KLM was ready to take part in the transportation of the covid-19 vaccines when they were ready t0 be commercialized.


Many vaccines must be transported and stored at cold or freezing temperatures. The companies have seen a surge in orders for units that can keep vaccines at -80 degrees Celsius. UK is the first nation to approve one of the most promising pandemic vaccines. Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine could get an approval as early as in first week of December. China is on the way in preparing the mass production of its own. Sino pharm filed for regulatory approvals on November 25th for the distribution. Sino pharm is one of the 4 Chinese vaccines have entered clinical trials.
