Journalist jailed for reporting Wuhan virus before WHO visit


It seems China is still hiding something about Wuhan Virus. Dr. Li Wenliang sounded the alarm over a large number of SARS-like patients at his Wuhan hospital. Li was silenced by the police and kept working with his patients. 

In early January he caught the new disease and died. Now it is the turn of Chinese citizen journalist Zhang Zhan who reports on Wuhan Virus since February’20. China has imprisoned journalist Zhang Zhan for 4 years for warning the world about #COVID19 and reporting on the Coronavirus in Wuhan.


President Donald Trump's administration has accused China of trying to conceal the initial outbreak. A team of 10 international scientists will travel to the Chinese city of Wuhan January’21 to investigate the origins of Covid-19, the World Health Organization (WHO). Why Chinese government made own whistleblowers are silent before WHO visit? Zhan, the first person known to have been tried on those charges, was among a handful of people in Wuhan whose first-hand accounts of the coronavirus pandemic have landed them in trouble. China's ruling Communist Party tightly controls the media and seeks to block dissemination of information it has not approved for release.


Zhang Zhan had travelled from Shangai to Wuhan in February 2019 to investigate when the city was in complete lockdown. Her courageous reporting helps the real severity of the virus to the world. Chinese government made a statement that virus was under control when she was reported. Zhan had raised many questions on lockdown and lack of hospitals and posted the related videos in Social Media Platform. Her approach causes troublesome to Chinese Communist Party. She has been on a hunger strike to protest her arrest. Zhan came to court on wheel chair. She had previously held for raising her voice in support for Hong Kong activists.

TRUNCATE can release the space from the table.
