Fourth wave in Hong Kong forced many to leave Mainland

Just remember what was happened in Hong Kong one year back. People in the country rushed towards the streets against Chinese Security Law. Everything seemed to be possible for pro-democracy supporters fighting against Security Law and people were shouted against China. Now, the picture has completely reversed in Hong Kong. Sudden increase in coronavirus positive cases made people in Hong Kong to leave borders. Over 21K people left Hong Kong in first week of December. They are leaving to Chinese Mainland at the end of 2020.

Some of them are seeking refuge from Covid-19. The surge in departures coincided with the rise of coronavirus cases in Hong Kong. As per the reports, Hong Kong city is in the middle of fourth wave of coronavirus cases. Covid-19 is under control in China when compared to Hong Kong. Those who are leaving to China should spend 14 days in quarantine and people should pay for their food on their own. Hong Kongers are happy to go to China despite many conditions. Quarantine Hotels in Shenzen were filled with 99% capacity.

Some of the people from Hong Kong are looking to go to nearby cities for accommodation. In Hong Kong, over 1700 new Covid-19 cases have reported since November 19th. Under temporary measures, everyone in a building will have to be tested for Covid-19 if four or more residents who do not know each other are infected. Hong Kong health authorities warned of a 77% cent spike in untraceable community Covid-19 infections over the past week. The worsening health situation prompted the city’s government to enforce tougher measures this week to contain the coronavirus, including barring restaurants from dine-in services between 6pm and 5am, and closing beauty salons and massage parlors.
