The first known U.S. case of the highly contagious new strain of the coronavirus that’s spreading through the United Kingdom has been discovered in a rural Colorado county. New variant of COVID-19 first discovered in the U.K., saying the state is the first to identify the strain in the United States. The new variant found in a young man Elbert County who don’t have any travel history.
The United Kingdom is the first nation detected new strain in September. In December, South Africa is reported another mutated Covid-19 strain which is similar to UK’s. The U.S. also has announced travel restrictions, including requiring airline passengers from Britain to test negative for COVID-19 before their flight. The new variant is believed to be as much as 70% more contagious than previous strains of the novel coronavirus, but it does not lead to more serve symptoms than earlier versions of the virus. The two variants have already spread across the world. As usual, World Health Organization has reminded people to stay vigilant.

The positive news on new variant is that it spreads quickly than coronavirus but doesn’t report much danger like pandemic virus.
