TikTok is the most downloaded app in 2020 globally on both Android and IOS. After Coronavirus outbreak the fate of TikTok has changed. Enmity towards China diverted on TikTok. As per App Annie report, TikTok has outplayed Facebook to become the world’s most downloaded app. App Annie has predicted that TikTok might join more than 1 billion active users club in 2021. TikTok has increasing its cross-app usage with video streaming players like Netflix. After that TikTok not only limited to Social Media app but also video streaming app which is more relevant in today’s world. App Annie said that the usage of mobile applications increased due to pandemic. TikTok got additional advantage to rule the social media. One of the key areas of growth in 2020 was passing time on mobile devices.
Tiktok has beat Facebook to become the most downloaded app of this year. Following TikTok is Facebook and then comes the most popular messaging app globally, WhatsApp. Thanks to governments impose lockdown in their countries. People spend more than 200% of their time on ZOOM app for their business as usual. In India only 40% TikTok users have moved to the local made applications. Indians can’t find perfect replacement to TikTok. In October Indians spend 80 billion minutes where as in June they spend more than 160 billion minutes when there was no ban on TikTok. Josh and TakaTak are gaining more popularity in India after TikTok was banned.
