The deadlocks are slowly comes to an end in United States. President Donald Trump has agreed to leave the White House as per the proceedings. Coronavirus vaccine Pfizer is being rolled out for vaccination to the people.
President-Elect Joe Biden is in process of announcing his own team. He gave lot of importance to Indians into consideration in his team. He has named Indian born American Vedant Patel as Assistant White House Secretary. It is very great for young man to reach that position. The 30-year old Indian American is currently the spokesperson of the Biden Inaugural Committee.
Vedant Patel has been a part of the Biden-Harris campaign where he served as regional Communications Director. He served as Regional Communications Director during Biden campaign in Nevada and Western Primary States. Biden had won most of the Western states he contested in. Patel was born in Gujarat and was a graduate of University of California and the University of Florida. Earlier, he worked as Communications Director to Congress Woman Pramila Jayapal and Congressman Mike Honda. He is the third Indian as part of White House Press team.
Priya Singh was the first American White House Press Assistant during Obama era in 2009-2010. Raj Shah had served as White House Deputy Press Secretary during 2017-2019 and was the second Indian to step into White House. Patel was one of the 16 appointees announced by Joe Biden as White House Staff. Another Indian Dr. Vivek Murthy is appointed as co-chair of Biden’s Covid-19 task force. He was served as surgeon general during Obama era. Hope all these new appointments help to build the relations between two nations.
